Your Excellencies, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Opposition parties, independent candidates 240 million Nigerians
write to you out of deep concern for the state of our nation and the rising tensions affecting Nigerians across political, ethnic, and social lines. Recent events involving Joe Igbokwe, an engineer and political figure within the APC, have once again highlighted the need for restraint, fairness, and a commitment to due process.
We do not condone violence against any Nigerian, regardless of political affiliation or personal opinion. Nigeria belongs to all of us, and no Nigerian should be subjected to jungle justice, intimidation, or unlawful attacks. The anger felt by over 240 million Nigerians—toward past and present governments, opposition parties, and independent actors—comes from a place of frustration with leaders who have sworn an oath to serve but have not delivered the security, stability, and development 240 million Nigerians deserve for decades
Our taxes fund the salaries of public officials at every level. In return, Nigerians expect safety, justice, and responsible governance. We therefore demand that no Nigerian be killed, jailed unjustly, or silenced. We urge the courts, EFCC, DSS, military, and Air Force to act with restraint and uphold the rule of law.

Ensuring that Lagos State and all 36 states, along with the 774 LGAs, invest in basic public infrastructure such as free, clean public toilets to improve sanitation and public health.
Preventing jungle justice in all forms. The situation in Ladipo Market should be addressed through warnings, dialogue, and lawful measures—not violence.
We urge your administration to prioritize healing, justice, and national unity. Nigerians want safety, dignity, and a government that listens and responds.
