Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Opposition parties, independent candidates 240 million Nigerians write to you as a concerned Nigerian citizen regarding the urgent and unresolved matter of the Alau Dam repairs, which Governor Babagana Zulum first appealed for in 2022 following the devastating September 2022 flood disaster in Borno State.

Four years have passed since that appeal, and today is June 7, 2026. Nigerians are asking a simple but critical question: Where is the money allocated for the Alau Dam rehabilitation project that began in 2022? The project remains incomplete, and the communities depending on this infrastructure continue to face preventable risks. We respectfully request full transparency on the funds released, the contractors engaged, the stage of work completed, and any obstacles delaying delivery.

This is precisely the kind of issue that should command the full attention of our anti-corruption institutions. We urge the courts, the EFCC, and all relevant oversight bodies to focus on stalled or abandoned projects across the 36 states and 774 local government areas. These projects represent jobs, safety, and development for millions of Nigerians.

Nigeria has over 240 million citizens, including millions of unemployed youths and graduates who are eager to work. We call for a national employment framework that is simple, transparent, and inclusive. We do not need complicated online applications or interviews that exclude struggling Nigerians. All that is required is a valid Nigerian ID or passport. We ask for a clear start date and completion date for nationwide hiring, publicly posted on the global internet for accountability.

We also request the installation of CCTV cameras across all 36 states and 774 LGAs to strengthen security, transparency, and public trust.

Your Excellency, we urge you to address the root causes of insecurity, including boko haram. This includes rescuing all Nigerian children kidnapped since 1999 and ensuring that no family continues to suffer in silence.

We further call for investment in free housing, hospitals, and schools across all 36 states and 774 LGAs, as well as large-scale investment in farming and agriculture to make Nigeria food-sufficient and economically stable.

These are not just demands—they are the hopes of millions of Nigerians who demand in a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria now 6/7/2026
