I understand where most are coming from, because i have been seeing some folks appealing for followers, but platforms like @lekeelekee work better when we shift away from the follow for follow mindset 😊 in as much as following is also important in any social platform, the right things to attract it should be taken seriously, which is the key to success.

Growth here is more about the value you bring. When you share useful ideas, stay active, provide valuable services, post meaningful content, or something people can learn from or relate to, followers will come naturally and they will stay because they see a reason to connect with you organically.

If people carry the same habits from other platforms where people just ask for followers without offering anything valuable that impact lives positively, it reduces the quality of the community over time.

Take your time to build your page or profile, share something very impactful, engage with others genuinely inline with the post, not commenting out of post just as i see some doing in some comment sections and you’ll see the difference. Organic growth may be slower at the beginning, but it is always stronger and more sustainable

I have also observed a common trend on many platforms, and most have brought same trend here on #lekeleke which will also affect your own growth long-term… people tend to engage more with posts only after they see others already engaging.

While this may seem normal to many people, it is important to understand that it can also affect your own growth over time.

When engagement is driven mainly by what others are already doing, rather than by the value of the content itself, it gradually shapes how we interact and contribute within a community. This kind of mindset can limit genuine participation and reduce opportunities for meaningful connections.

In the long run, it also impacts how communities are built, because valuable ideas or content may be overlooked simply due to a lack of early engagement.

A more sustainable approach is to engage based on substance and intention. This not only supports others but also positions you as someone who contributes meaningfully, which ultimately reflects positively on your own growth and visibility within the community.

When engagement becomes dependent on crowd validation, many valuable posts risk being ignored simply because they were not “noticed” early enough 💡

True community growth comes from individuals who are willing to engage based on value, not just visibility. Those who take the initiative to comment on meaningful posts, even when there are little or no interactions, play a very important role in shaping a healthy and balanced digital environment 🌱

In many ways, they are the ones who help surface quality content and encourage genuine conversations.

There is real value in being among the first to recognize and support something meaningful. Over time, that same energy comes back, because communities grow stronger when engagement is driven by intention, not just numbers.
