It’s World Oceans Day tomorrow!! It's a reminder of just how important our oceans are to life on Earth. The ocean produces much of the oxygen we breathe, regulates our climate, supports countless ecosystems, and sustains millions of people around the world. Even if we don’t live near the sea, the ocean affects all of us in ways we often don’t realize.
I’m from Nepal, a landlocked country, but somehow I ended up falling in love with the ocean. And here’s something many people don’t know about me: I’m a PADI-certified Dive Master.
Now, how did a girl from a landlocked country end up loving the ocean enough to become a Dive Master? That’s a whole different story....maybe I’ll share it soon. 😊
For now, on World Oceans Day, let’s remember to be kind to the sea. Let’s be more aware of the impact of things like commercial fishing, pollution, and unsustainable practices on marine ecosystems. And let’s remember that our small, everyday choices can have a ripple effect far beyond what we see.
I could probably make a whole separate post about that.
But tomorrow, let’s take a moment to appreciate the ocean and do our part to protect it. 🌊💙
