Your Excellencies, Esteemed Sir/Madam, 240 million Nigerians are
writing to express a concern shared by millions of Nigerians regarding transparency, accountability, and the urgent need for public trust in our political system.

Across the country,240 million Nigerians are asking a simple and reasonable question: Where do Nigerian politicians get their wealth from while over 240 million Nigerians continue to suffer poverty, unemployment, insecurity, and hardship?

To rebuild confidence in governance, we respectfully call for the following:

Full public disclosure of wealth sources by all political office holders—past and present—including the President, Vice President, governors, ministers, senators, representatives, and political party leaders. On the global internet

Publication of these disclosures online, accessible to every Nigerian, so that transparency becomes a national standard.

Clear explanation of how personal wealth was acquired, especially in cases where declared assets do not align with known salaries or legitimate business activities.

Commitment to global transparency norms, as practiced in the USA, UK, and many of the 195 countries that maintain strict anti‑corruption and financial‑crime monitoring systems.

It is well known internationally that many Nigerian politicians face corruption allegations. If our leaders are serious about accountability, they must demonstrate it openly by showing the legitimate sources of their wealth.

Respectfully Nigerians continue to demand that leaders focus on solving the root causes of insecurity, including boko haram. This requires:

Investment in education, jobs, and local economies

Collaboration with governors across all 36 states and 774 LGAs

Strengthening institutions that protect citizens

Nigerians deserve the same dignity, opportunity, and economic security that leaders enjoy. If political office holders earn high salaries and benefits, then 240 million Nigerians should not be left in poverty must earn same salary

Transparency is the first step toward restoring trust and building a country where every citizen can thrive.

Thank you for your attention. We hope you will support this call for openness and accountability.
