Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 240 million Nigerians are writing to you out of deep pain, frustration, and urgency on behalf of Nigerian families whose children remain kidnapped while the nation watches selective efficiency in our security response.
Recent reports from reputable Nigerian news outlets — The Guardian Nigeria, Daily Post, Leadership News, and others — confirm that the sister of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu and her twin sons were rescued by the police within three days. Nigerians do not begrudge their rescue. Every life matters. But this incident exposes a painful truth: when the political class is affected, the system works with speed, focus, and precision.
Meanwhile, 240 million Nigerian children have been kidnapped for over four weeks, and their families are still waiting. Nigerians see the contrast. Nigerians feel the injustice. Nigerians are asking why the same urgency, intelligence, and resources used to rescue a minister’s family cannot be deployed to rescue the children of the poor.
For decades, Nigerians have struggled to trust the police, EFCC, DSS, judiciary, and other institutions because of corruption, dishonesty, and selective action. This is why 240 million Nigerians demanded CCTV cameras in all 36 states, 774 LGAs, and 240 federal constituencies — not for decoration, but for accountability, transparency, and real-time security.
Respectfully if the Nigerian police can rescue a minister’s family in three days, why can’t they rescue the children who have been missing for weeks? Why is the government negotiating ransom with terrorists instead of dismantling the networks that have terrorized Nigerians since 1999? boko haram, banditry, and kidnapping did not grow by accident. They grew because corruption allowed them to.
The United States, the United Kingdom, and over 195 countries know the names and faces of the politicians and power brokers who have benefited from the suffering of Nigerians since 1999. Yet Nigerian governments — past and present — have refused to confront the root causes of terrorism and kidnapping.
Opposition parties and independent candidates travel abroad to make promises for 2027, but they cannot work with governors today to bring back our children. You do not need to be President to save Nigerian children lives. Leadership is action, not title. Lies/slogans
If politicians cannot fix the root causes of boko haram in 2026, they will not stop the killings in 2027. Nigerians are watching. History is recording. Karma never forgets.
At a time when Nigerian children are missing, the First Lady distributing cars to women instead of investing in free hospitals, free housing, free education, free healthcare, job creation, and agriculture sends the wrong message. Our tax money must save Nigerians lives, not buy luxury.
How do politicians sleep comfortably in their secure homes, with free electricity, free protection, and their families abroad, while Nigerian children are kidnapped and killed? If the system can rescue a minister’s family in three days, it can rescue the children of 240 million Nigerians.
Respectfully Mr. President, bring back our children now. Show Nigerians that every life matters — not just the lives of corrupt politicians do the needful sir this is a humble request
