Police is Not a Revenue-Generating Institution — Vincent

The responsibility of the police, is sacrosanct and explicit. The police have the power to maintain law and order, protect the life and property of citizens, and promote human rights and the dignity of persons. These are the powers conferred on the police under the Act. The police force cannot therefore function as a revenue-generating agency.
