Sincere introspect always !!!

Examine yourself indepth before you even contemplate marriage. That institution is not child's play but serious business.

First focus on yourself to understand who you are, your values, your character, your goals and who you want to become in life. Make sure you are in the correct state of mind as a person.

Once you have defined yourself, you can start to examine the type of people you want to invite into your life in marriage. You can only attract who you are. A demon should not be seeking an angel as a spouse, don't deceive yourself please.

The motive for your decision must be genuine and must align with the life goals you have defined for yourself. This must be the case both ways.

It is a very enjoyable journey if embarked upon correctly but will still have its challenges irrespective and that is part of the package which must be recognised.

Two people who truly love each other with genuine intentions, aligned values, similar goals etc and are properly prepared in all perspectives for marital life should be able to successfully build a good family together.

Prepare much more for marriage than wedding ceremony. When the eating, drinking, dancing etc. ends and visitors leave you alone to your destiny, reality of life in marriage will set in.

Many married in ignorance, many married with wrong intentions, many married too early, many married without knowledge of the divine institution etc. Hence why the turbulence we see today in marriage.

Marital journey itself when it starts need constant discipline and focus. Guard your flesh and beware of comparing your marriage to others. Both parties should do what works best for your own relationship. Two love birds of character and sound values who come together in marriage will not hurt each other.

If you are still single and desire to marry, an awesome opportunity to get it right.
