Nigerian Afropop superstar Adekunle Gold performed "Oba" for the Global Spin series, filmed live at King Kosoko Palace in Lagos and backed by a full band and backup singers.

Featured on Gold's 2025 album 'Fuji,' "Oba" is a spirited track powered by Fuji-inspired rhythms, Yoruba percussion, and contemporary Afropop production. Weaving together soul, R&B, Fuji, Afropop, and Apala sounds, 'Fuji' explores celebratory moments, intimate reflections that deal with loss, including the passing of Gold's father, and the journey of rediscovering himself. In May 2026, Gold released 'Fuji Xtra,' a five-track extension that expands the sonic world of his acclaimed 'Fuji' project.

Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Adekunle Gold has become one of Africa's most celebrated and versatile voices.
