General Assimi Goïta’s military government has announced a 2 billion CFA francs (~$3.5 million) reward for the arrest or elimination of Iyad Ag Ghaly, leader of Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM), al-Qaeda’s main affiliate in the Sahel.
This is the highest bounty in Mali’s history.
When a country is truly serious about eradicating terrorism, the body language is clear.
