In my opinion making public the outrageous demands of the abductors of the Oyo State children and also revealing govt's resolve not to meet those demands is tactless, insensitive and in very bad taste.

Govt ought not to have divulged this kind of information to the public. Giving hope to the public, like a father to his expectant family, is one of the key responsibilities of govt.
This latest turn is both traumatizing and depressing for the abductees' loved ones as some of them may read it as a signal of despair on the govt's side.
Information management at a time like this is as important as safely getting these hapless children and their teachers out.
