Before Olaolu Olorunnimbe put on an apron in the #MasterChef Australia kitchen, he transformed his home kitchen into a beloved Nigerian restaurant 🇳🇬.

When the pandemic hit, Olaolu was grounded in Sydney and couldn't visit Nigeria. Jollof rice cravings soon hit and Olaolu had no choice but to learn how to make his favourite dish himself. What started as personal survival quickly morphed into a cultural mission to share Nigerian flavours through a unique home kitchen experience in Sydney's Inner West.

This short documentary follows Olaolu as he channels his love for bold Nigerian cooking into The Jollof Kitchen — serving authentic jollof rice, spicy chicken, smoked cauliflower, sweet plantain, zobo, and puff puff.

Please note that since creating this documentary, Olaolu has rebranded his restaurant from "The Jollof Kitchen" to "Olaolu's kitchen".
