Your Excellencies President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern shared by millions of Nigerians regarding economic inequality, national security, and the ongoing trauma caused by years of violence and kidnappings.

240 million Nigerians believe that if leaders are compensated with monthly salaries in the range of ₦1.17 million to ₦1.5 million, then the 240 million Nigerians who sustain the nation deserve economic dignity and opportunities that reflect the same value of life and labor. The widening gap between leadership earnings and the daily struggles of ordinary Nigerians continues to fuel frustration and hopelessness.

Equally urgent is the need to bring back all children and Nigerians who have been killed or kidnapped since 1999. The pain of families who have waited years for justice and closure cannot be overstated. boko haram and other violent extremist groups have caused immense suffering, and addressing the root causes of their rise—poverty, unemployment, corruption, and lack of security infrastructure—remains essential.

We respectfully urge your offices to:

Prioritize policies that uplift the economic well-being of all 240 million Nigerians.

Strengthen national security efforts to rescue kidnapped children and prevent further tragedies.

Address the underlying conditions that allow violent extremist groups to thrive.

Nigeria’s people deserve safety, dignity, and a fair chance at prosperity. We hope your leadership will take bold and compassionate action to restore trust and hope across the nation.
