Your Excellency President Tinubu, opposition parties, independent candidates 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep frustration shared by many Nigerians regarding the current electricity band structure (Band A, B, C) and the recently announced compensation scheme limited only to Band A customers.

240 million Nigerians consider this system unfair, confusing, and disconnected from the realities of everyday Nigerians. The challenges in the power sector affect all 240 million people, not just those classified under Band A. As such, compensation should reflect the nationwide impact of unreliable electricity supply.

Nigerians are asking:

When will all 240 million Nigerians receive compensation alerts on their mobile phones?

How much compensation will be provided to the entire population affected by the shortfalls?

Why does the band system continue despite widespread dissatisfaction and its perceived lack of fairness?

During your campaign, you spoke about improving access to electricity, digital connectivity, and reducing the burden on 240 million Nigerians. Many now feel these promises have not been fulfilled, and the current band structure only deepens inequality.

To abolish the Band A/B/C system now 6/4/2026

Implement a compensation framework that includes all 240 million Nigerians.

Prioritize policies that move the country toward affordable or free basic electricity and accessible internet/data for everyone.

Nigerians want transparency, fairness, and meaningful action—not slogans. We hope your office will address these concerns urgently and provide clear communication on the next steps.
