When Thomas Muller silenced the great Diego Maradona at just 20 years old: 🤫

In the 2010 World Cup, the day before the Argentina vs. Germany QF match, manager Diego Maradona was at the pre game press conference with the young German also in attendance.

At the beginning of the conference, Maradona objected, saying:
"I will not sit next to a ball boy."

The press clarified to Maradona that Müller was a German national team player. Maradona responded: “I don’t know who he is. I didn’t know he was a football player. The coach should be sitting next to me, not a player.”

Muller didn’t say a word, and the conference was cancelled .

A day later, the match ended 4-0 to Germany, with Müller scoring the opener. After the game, Müller stated: “I think now Maradona knows me well.”

He then went on to win the Golden Boot 💪
