Court Sentences 4 to Death Over 2022 Owo Church Massacre.

In a landmark judgment today, a Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced four terrorists to death by hanging for their roles in the bloody attack on St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, which claimed over 40 lives on June 5, 2022.

The convicted individuals — Abdulmalik Omeiza, Al Qasim Idris, Jamiu Abdulmalik, and Abdulhaleem Idris — were found guilty of terrorism and murder. One suspect was discharged and acquitted.

While justice is finally being served for this horrific attack, many Nigerians are asking:
How many more lives must be lost before we end these senseless killings across the country?

This verdict comes as teachers continue their strike and protests over the recent Oyo school abductions. The insecurity crisis is far from over.
