Greetings Sir/Madam, we hope this message finds you well. 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern regarding the visit of the UN Deputy Secretary‑General, Amina J. Mohammed, to Zamfara State in early April 2026. During that visit, she was accompanied by senior UN agency representatives and publicly stated that the United Nations is willing to be a "genuine partner" to Zamfara State.

The Zamfara State Government welcomed this commitment, and many Nigerians saw it as a sign of real progress—an opportunity to create jobs, strengthen local governance, and address long‑standing issues affecting communities across the 36 states and 774 LGAs.

However, we are now in June 2026, and there has been no visible movement, no clear timeline, and no concrete steps toward implementation. This silence raises serious concerns. Nigerians have heard many promises over the decades—plans, slogans, speeches, and announcements that never translate into action. We cannot afford another cycle of hope without results.

Respectfully if this partnership is truly meant to improve 240 million Nigerian lives, then clarity is urgently needed:

When will the project officially begin?

When will job creation efforts start for Nigerians across all 36states and 774 LGAs?

Will the hiring process be transparent, accessible, and based on valid Nigerian identification rather than complicated online applications or interviews that exclude Nigerian youths and graduates

Mining and related development projects have the potential to create meaningful employment for millions of Nigerians, especially youths and graduates. But this can only happen if the government and its partners act with urgency and sincerity.

Additionally, addressing insecurity—including the root causes of boko haram—must remain a priority. Our children must be brought home now 6/3/2026, and communities in the 36 states 774 LGA must be stabilized for any development initiative to succeed.

Nigerians deserve honesty, transparency, and timely action. We ask for clear communication on the status of this partnership and a realistic timeline for implementation.
