The DSS says Prof. Okey Ndibe was not arrested or detained at Lagos airport, describing the encounter as a routine watchlist review process that led to his clearance and removal from a longstanding security record.

Ndibe, however, says he was questioned for more than three hours after arriving from the United States, though he commended the professionalism of the operatives involved.
