Gravity Bridge lost $5.4M in a suspected signing key compromise.

Attackers drained funds from the Ethereum-side contract, including $4.3M USDC, 274 ETH, plus USDT and PAYG tokens. On-chain investigators say the issue appears to be tied to privileged access through a compromised signing key - not a smart contract bug.

Part of the stolen funds was later moved through ChangeNow and Binance to obscure the trail.

The key takeaway: bridge security is not only about code.
Private key and signer infrastructure remain one of the biggest weak points in DeFi.
