Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 240 million Nigerians are writing out of deep frustration, fear, and heartbreak over the continued kidnapping and killing of Nigerian children since 1999. The recent allegation by Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose — claiming he "sometimes believes" the Oyo school abduction was orchestrated by the Oyo State Government to blackmail your administration — has only added to the pain and confusion Nigerians already feel. There is no evidence supporting this claim, yet the fact that such statements are even made publicly shows how far our politics has drifted from the lives of Nigerian children for decades
Sir, with all due respect Nigerian children have been kidnapped, terrorized, and killed since 1999. Successive governments, opposition parties, and independent candidates have all failed to stop this cycle of violence. It is devastating that politicians can live in comfort while families live in fear, praying/hoping their children return home alive in the country of birth
Our children are not bargaining chips. They are not tools for political games. They are the future of this nation, and their lives must never be gambled with.
240 million Nigerians demand for decisive, transparent, and humane action. Nigerians need to see that their leaders place the safety of children above politics. We need to see that every arm of government is working to bring our children home and prevent these tragedies from repeating.
