JUST IN: President Trump says he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and persuaded him to turn Israeli troops around before a major operation in Lebanon.

Trump also says he spoke with representatives of Hezbollah's leadership, who agreed to stop "shooting at Israel," while Israel agreed to stop firing in return.

"Let's see how long that lasts," Trump wrote. "Hopefully it will be for ETERNITY!"
