Aristotle (384–322 BCE) was one of the most influential thinkers in history, whose work laid the foundations for logic, science, mathematics, ethics, and philosophy.

A student of Plato and teacher of Alexander the Great, Aristotle developed the first systematic framework for formal logic, particularly through his theory of syllogisms, which remained the dominant model of logical reasoning for nearly two thousand years.

Although not primarily a mathematician, his emphasis on deductive reasoning and rigorous proof profoundly influenced the development of mathematics and scientific inquiry.

His writings covered an extraordinary range of subjects, including physics, biology, metaphysics, politics, and astronomy, making him one of the greatest intellectual figures of the ancient world and a central architect of Western thought.
