Welcome to June Lekeelekee Family ❤️

A new month has started, but for many families in Oyo, there is nothing new about the pain.

Today, teachers in Oyo State began an indefinite strike because abducted teachers and pupils are still in captivity more than two weeks later. When classrooms close because schools no longer feel safe, we should all be worried.

While many Nigerians are exchanging “Happy New Month” messages, some parents are counting sleepless nights, unanswered questions, and empty spaces at home.

“You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned.”
These words must become action.
A country where children leave for school and disappear, while parents wait endlessly and teachers abandon classrooms out of fear, is a country facing more than a security problem — it is facing a leadership emergency.

Children should be learning, not missing. Parents should be planning the school week, not praying for rescue updates.

How many more headlines before urgency replaces speeches?

We cry, trend hashtags, argue, and move on, until the next tragedy.
At some point, grief must turn into accountability.

Have you gotten your PVC?

Our heart goes out to the victims in Oyo
Mild Uchenna: When fear becomes stronger than education, society is already in a dangerous place. Children should never become headlines because they went to school. The painful part is not only the tragedy itself, but how quickly people become used to it. A nation cannot truly progress when parents live in const...

Comfort Yako Asala: It is heartbreaking to be honest. A day without rescue is detrimental to the psyche and well being of the captive.
We will lend our voices in solidarity to the victims.
Like @ChinnyT mentioned, an injury to one, is injury to all
