MAMMON'S THRONE

Mammon is no pile of silver ,no mountain forged of gold, It is a whisper in the heart of man,A story ancient and old. It speaks with the tongue of promise, yet feeds on fear and pride, building its throne within the soul where faith and trust reside.

It says, "Lean on me, and you shall prosper, trust in me and you shall stand, measure your worth by what you gather and secure your life by your own hand." Its strength is not in riches but in the worship they inspire; for men have crossed great oceans and burned their souls upon its fire. Kingdoms have bowed before it, families torn apart, friendship sold for a handful of coins and ambition crowned the heart.

Mammon ruins without a sword, It conquers without a war; leaving palaces full of treasures, yet hearts are more empty than before. It teaches men to count their wealth but never count their days to seek applause from passing crowds while losing Heaven's gaze. And herein lies its danger: It asks for what belongs to God. Not merely labor, not merely gain, but trust upon life's road.

For what is a god but that which holds your confidence in the night? What is a god but that which claims your fear, your hope, your sight?
Mammon says, "I will provide."God says i Am." Mammon says, "Build your kingdom."God says, "Follow My plan." Two voices call the traveler two masters seek the throne one promises the world itself the other gives His own.

Yet blessed is the man who conquers who casts that idol down for freedom waits beyond the chains and glory beyond the crown. He learns that wealth is but a servant, never a king to obey, a tool to bless, a gift to steward, not a master to betray. For when mammon is defeated the soul begins to see:That life is not in what is gathered but in what sets it free. And when the dust of years has settled when all accounts are done, the richest man is not the one who gained the most but the one whom God has won.
