PART 3: SECURITY: WHO FEELS SAFE ANYMORE?
Security is the first responsibility of government.
Without security:
* Businesses cannot grow.
* Schools cannot function.
* Farmers cannot farm.
* Communities cannot develop.
Before 2023, Nigeria was already battling:
* Terrorism
* Banditry
* Kidnapping
* Armed robbery
* Communal conflicts
Many Nigerians hoped a new administration would significantly improve the situation.
Yet stories of kidnappings continue.
Communities still report attacks.
Farmers remain fearful in many regions.
Families still worry whenever loved ones travel.
Perhaps the most heartbreaking aspect is education.
Schools should be places of learning.
Instead, some have become targets.
Children have been kidnapped.
Teachers have been abducted.
Parents now fear sending their children to school in certain areas.
When tragedies occur, many Nigerians want more than official statements.
They want visible leadership.
They want empathy.
They want action.
They want to feel that their pain matters.
A nation cannot develop when its citizens live in constant fear.
Do Nigerians feel safer today than they did three years ago?
