*DISREGARD UNAUTHORIZED SOCIAL MEDIA RESULTS FOR NDC PRIMARIES*

*Owerri, Imo State — May 31, 2026:* The Imo State Chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) wishes to formally draw the attention of the general public, our esteemed party members, and all stakeholders across the state to an important official directive from our National Headquarters regarding the nationwide primaries held on the 28th and 29th of May, 2026.

In alignment with the official statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director Esq., we strongly urge the public to disregard the various unverified and unauthorized results currently circulating across social media platforms.

For the sake of clarity and to maintain the integrity of our democratic processes, please note the following directives from the National level:

* *Custody of Authentic Results:* The genuine results of the primaries are securely with the National Executive Council (NEC) of our great party. The NEC reserves the sole responsibility and authority to announce the official outcomes.

* *Scheduled NEC Meetings By the express order of our National Leader, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Seriake Dickson, an urgent NEC meeting has been convened in Abuja. Consequently, all NEC members are expected to arrive for a pre-NEC meeting on *Tuesday, 2nd of June, 2026*, which will be immediately followed by the main NEC meeting on *Wednesday, 3rd of June, 2026*.

* *Official Announcement:* The general public and all party stakeholders will be formally presented with the authentic results of our primaries only after the final list of candidates flying our party's flag has been officially transmitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

We urge all NDC members and supporters in Imo State to remain calm, law-abiding, and focused. We must not allow fake news and unauthorized publications to create confusion or sow discord within our unified ranks as we prepare for victory.
