Ojude Oba Festival Draws Thousands To Ijebu-Ode
For decades, the Ojude Oba Festival has been one of Nigeria's most colourful and culturally significant celebrations, drawing thousands of people from across the country and around the world to ljebu-Ode in Ogun State. This year's festival carried added emotion as participants gathered for the first Ojude Oba since the passing of the Awujale of ljebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, whose legacy was honoured throughout the event.
From spectacular fashion and horse-riding displays to the economic boost generated by visitors and sponsors, the festival once again demonstrated its enduring appeal. ARISE International Correspondent, Adefemi Akinsanya reports.
