There are extractive systems that have historically shaped economies. colonial legacies, unequal trade structures, capital flight, corruption, and external corporate interests all play roles. At the same time, internal governance choices, institutional weakness, and leadership accountability also shape outcomes.

Until we intentionally choose to believe, that we the people of Nigeria are the ones that is responsible for our woes by our active choice of leadership or our passive choice of leadership we will continue to feel helpless.
