Philippians 2:6–7 (NIV)
“Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”
Reflection
This passage speaks of the humility of Jesus Christ. Though He possessed the nature of God, He chose not to cling to His heavenly privileges. Instead, He humbled Himself and came into the world as a servant to save humanity.
His example teaches believers that true greatness is found not in power, status, or recognition, but in humility, obedience, and service to others. Just as Christ willingly lowered Himself for God's purpose, Christians are called to put aside pride and serve with love and compassion.
Prayer Points
Lord, help me to walk in humility and not be controlled by pride.
Father, give me a servant's heart that seeks to bless others.
Lord Jesus, teach me to follow Your example of obedience and sacrifice.
Father, use my life to bring glory to Your name.
Grant me the grace to put others before myself in love and kindness.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself and became a servant for our salvation. Teach me to live with humility, obedience, and love. Remove every form of pride from my heart and help me reflect the character of Christ in all I do. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏🏻
