Have you ever attended this historic festival? ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š

The Ojude Oba festival is a major annual cultural celebration held in the ancient city of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, southwestern Nigeria.

Established over 150 years ago in the 19th century, it initially began as a modest gathering for early Muslim converts in Ijebuland to thank the reigning king for allowing them to practice their religion freely and safely.

Literally translating to "the king's forecourt" in the Yoruba language, the event brings together tens of thousands of Ijebu descendants from all religious and social backgrounds to celebrate their heritage, honor their traditional monarch (the Awujale of Ijebuland), and pray for the community's prosperity.
