Happy Sabbath to you, my friends and family, and I hope you are finding time to rest your souls and bodies and pursuing and living healthily.
Today's lesson is on "Responsibility Before Reaction," and our bible reference will be from a combo of verses that speak to this:

Deuteronomy 30:19: “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life.”

Mark 7:21–23 : “For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts…”

Matthew 5:23–24: “First go and be reconciled… then come and offer your gift.”

Philippians 2:4: “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

As a man, woman, businessman, or worker, we come from different families and tribes with different training and expectations, so every relationship eventually reaches a difficult season. And time will always put the bond to a test, and the result defines that relationship.

Pressure reveals character.

Conflict reveal will maturity.

Silence sometimes reveals emotional distance.

Reactions reveal what lives in the heart.

Strong relationships survive because at least one person chooses humility before pride, as the goal of relationships is not to win arguments. The goal is to preserve the relationship.

So my challenge of the week is to focus on responsibility instead of reaction.

Identify one unresolved tension in your relationship, business, or family.

Initiate a calm conversation, not an emotional reaction.

Ask: “What can I do better?” Listen without defending yourself.

Agree on one small weekly habit that strengthens connection.

Small consistent actions repair what big emotional reactions destroy.

Let us pray, Almighty and everlasting Father, blessed be Thy Holy Name. Thank you for food, shelter, and clothing, and thank you for grace. We ask that You teach us patience when emotions rise and wisdom when pride wants to speak first.

Help us to always choose humility over ego, responsibility over blame, and reconciliation over distance. Strengthen our relationships and teach us to value peace above being right.

Guide our hearts so our homes remain places of love, respect, and unity. Bless the works of our hands so that your children will not beg for bread. Thank you, Lord, for answered prayers. Amen.

Amen.

Happy Sabbath to you, my friends and family, and I hope you are finding time to rest your souls and...
