PART 1: NIGERIA BEFORE TINUBU VS NIGERIA TODAY — HAS LIFE IMPROVED?
Three years ago, on May 29, 2023, Nigerians watched a new president take the oath of office with hope.
Many believed that after years of insecurity, economic hardship, unemployment, poor electricity supply, corruption, and declining public trust, a new administration would bring a fresh direction.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu told Nigerians that difficult decisions would have to be made. He also reminded Nigerians that as President, every major issue would ultimately stop on his table.
Three years later, it is fair to ask:
Has life become better for ordinary Nigerians?
Before Tinubu became President, Nigeria already faced enormous challenges:
* Rising insecurity
* High unemployment
* Inflation
* Poor electricity supply
* Failing infrastructure
* Weak educational institutions
* A struggling healthcare system
Nobody can honestly say Nigeria was perfect before 2023.
But leadership is measured by improvement.
The question is not whether problems existed before Tinubu.
The question is:
Are Nigerians living better today than they were three years ago?
Can families feed themselves easier?
Can workers afford transportation?
Can young people find jobs?
Can children go to school safely?
Can businesses survive?
For many Nigerians, the answer appears increasingly difficult.
What has your experience been over the last three years?
