What happened instead was a massive loss of some of our brightest minds, while our national and economic identity was deeply distorted by these policies. I have spoken with people across South America, and many of the same economic reforms President Tinubu is implementing today produced more poverty and hardship there. From everything I have studied, I have not seen evidence anywhere in the world that these kinds of policies improve the lives of ordinary people.
