Respectfully so why are 240 million Nigerians’ votes still counted by hand?
Because Nigeria has not implemented e‑voting.
BVAS and IReV do not count votes — they only accredit voters and upload scanned results.

The law requires:

Manual counting at the polling unit

Manual completion of Form EC8A

Upload of the scanned form to IReV (if network allows)

This is why even with billions spent, manual counting remains the core process.

Where is the money? based on available evidence:

The money was allocated broadly to ICT, not specifically to “real‑time transmission infrastructure.”

INEC and NCC say network blackspots and telecom limitations — not INEC servers — are the main bottleneck.

Civil society groups argue that INEC has not provided transparent accounting for ICT spending and failed to meet public expectations for real‑time uploads.

There is no publicly available breakdown showing:

How much was spent on BVAS procurement

How much on IReV backend

How much on telecom partnerships

How much on training, logistics, or contractors

This lack of transparency is exactly why Nigerians keep asking these questions.

Respectfully EFCC, courts, auditors investigate must investigate this now hand counting of votes must stop to avoid rigging this is a humble request

EFCC involvement if procurement fraud is suspected
