Your Excellency Esteemed Mr. Peter Obi, 240 million Nigerians are writing out of deep concern for the ongoing hardship in Nigeria and the suffering faced by Nigerians both at home and abroad.

Your recent statement about Nigerians in South Africa saying they would "rather die there than come back" reflects a painful truth: many Nigerians feel that the hardship in Nigeria has become unbearable. The continued killings and kidnappings of Nigerian children by boko haram and other violent groups have created fear, trauma, and hopelessness for countless families.

Many Nigerians believe that unless these killings are stopped and security is restored, Nigerians will continue to flee the country and refuse to return. The safety of our children must be a national priority.

As someone widely regarded as a man of integrity globally, many young Nigerians and graduates look to you for leadership. They want to partner with you to build a better Nigeria. No country has perfect leaders, but Nigeria can do far better than the current situation.

Respectfully while you are not yet president, there are steps you can take now:

Speak more forcefully and consistently about the killings and kidnappings of Nigerian children.

Mobilize civil society, youth groups, and community leaders to demand stronger action from the government.

Support initiatives that help protect vulnerable communities in the 36 states 774 LGA

Continue engaging Nigerians abroad to give them hope and a sense of belonging.

The will of 240 million Nigerians must come before the interests of corrupt politicians. 240 million Nigerians believe you can help set a new direction for the country Nigeria
