Your Excellencies, Esteemed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Opposition parties, independent candidates 240 million Nigerians are writing as concerned Nigerians who are deeply worried about the state of public health, security, and essential infrastructure across our nation. Recent statements from the Federal Government and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) indicate that Nigeria currently has no confirmed Ebola cases. While this is reassuring,240 million Nigerians are asking a critical question: how can we be certain when so many hospitals across the 36 states and 774 LGAs lack the equipment, staffing, and resources needed for proper detection, testing, and surveillance?
240 million Nigerians are struggling with failing healthcare facilities, irregular electricity, lack of digital access, and inadequate support for medical professionals. Doctors, nurses, and health workers are not receiving the salaries, tools, or working conditions required to protect the population. Without strong systems in place, it is difficult for Nigerians to trust that early detection of diseases like Ebola is truly possible.
Beyond public health, the nation continues to face severe security challenges. Children have been kidnapped and families devastated for decades. 240 million Nigerians feel that not enough has been done to address the root causes of insecurity, including the long-standing violence caused by boko haram, a group responsible for immense suffering and loss of life. 240 million Nigerians cannot farm, cannot work, and cannot live safely under these conditions.
Respectfully we urgently need demand
Functional, free, and well-equipped hospitals in all 36 states and 774 LGAs
Reliable free electricity and free digital access to support healthcare, education, and security
CCTV systems across LGAs to help 240 million Nigerians report crimes and improve accountability via their cell phone alerts
Better salaries and support for medical professionals and frontline workers
A comprehensive strategy to address the root causes of insecurity so Nigerians can return to their farms and rebuild their livelihoods and make Nigeria food sufficient have vast land Nigerian government do the needful if you are serious
Respectfully why are you wasting time to rescue kidnapped children and reunite them with their families. How would you feel if your children are kidnapped and killed daily
Nigerians are asking for leadership that prioritizes safety, dignity, and the well-being of all 240 million Nigerians. We are asking for transparency, accountability, and urgent action. We are asking for a government that listens and responds to the pain of its people.
Your Excellency, these concerns come from a place of hope—hope that Nigeria can be better, safer, and stronger. We ask that you and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, use your positions to drive meaningful change and address these long-standing issues with urgency and compassion.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.
