A disturbing video released by the kidnappers shows Mrs. Rachael (or Folawe) Alamu, the principal of Community High/Grammar School in Ahoro‑Esinele, Oriire LGA, Oyo State, speaking from captivity. She was abducted along with teachers and pupils during coordinated attacks on several schools.

In the video, she pleads:

“Don’t let them waste our lives… We are in the cold, under the sun, under the rain… Please help us.”
