It's true if you work for a small business.... In big corporations.... Sometimes people get paid for compliance... Not value.... Or for impressing their boss.... Not value.... It's unfortunate. Incentives get placed on things that SHOULD map to value, but might not. This is exactly why large companies can lose to smaller companies. Small companies can operate on better ground truth sometimes.
