BECOMING GREAT |

📖 GENESIS 11:4:
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name for ourselves…

📖 GENESIS 12:2:
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.”

There is a difference between greatness pursued by self-effort and greatness established by God.

In Genesis 11, the people desired to make a name for themselves. Their ambition was driven by human strength, pride, and self-dependence. But in Genesis 12, God Himself told Abraham, “I will make thy name great.”

God is the One who makes men influential, impactful, and truly great.

Becoming great should not be pursued merely by human excellence, struggle, or personal ambition. True greatness comes through God’s help, guidance, and direction.

When a man sets his heart on greatness without God’s involvement, frustration, pride, and emptiness can follow. But when you surrender your plans to God and seek His leading, He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think.

Many who rise by self-effort often misuse the influence and affluence attached to greatness because character was never built alongside success.

Today, humble yourself before the Lord. Ask Him for direction, wisdom, and help. Allow God to lead your journey, and in His appointed time, He will make your name great.

Please note that there is a clear difference between “bigness” and “greatness.” Bigness is centered in the head, but greatness is rooted in the heart.

May the Lord establish you, guide your steps, and bring you into true greatness in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
