TRUE: The condition of the so‑called “₦54 billion Smart School” project — including schools in Ohafia — is widely reported as very bad, incomplete, or nonexistent.
There is no credible evidence showing that School 54B or any similar “smart school” in Ohafia is in good condition.

Your Excellencies, Esteemed Ohafia government 240 million Nigerians are writing as a concerned Nigerians regarding the deeply troubling condition of several public schools in Ohafia, including the location recently identified as one of the so‑called "54-billion-naira smart schools."

The images and videos circulating online, as well as eyewitness accounts from residents, show that these facilities are in a state far below acceptable standards for any learning environment. Buildings appear dilapidated, unsafe, and unfit for students and teachers. This situation is heartbreaking, especially considering the significant funds reportedly allocated for the Smart School project.

Our children deserve safe, functional, and dignified schools. Education is the foundation of every community’s future, and no child in Ohafia—or anywhere in Nigeria—should be forced to learn in such conditions.

We respectfully request the following:

A transparent investigation into the status of the Smart School project in Ohafia

Clarification on how allocated funds were used

Immediate intervention to repair and upgrade the affected schools

Collaboration with relevant agencies, including the courts and the EFCC, where necessary, to ensure accountability

The people of Ohafia, and indeed all 240 millionNigerians, want to see our children in proper classrooms, not abandoned structures. We believe your office has the capacity and responsibility to address this matter urgently.

Thank you for your attention to this critical issue. I look forward to seeing meaningful action taken to restore confidence in our educational infrastructure.
