Why does human life become “important” only after tragedy trends online?

In Nigeria, people are living with fear of kidnapping, terrorism, bandit attacks, and violent crime. Families travel praying they arrive safely. Parents worry when their children leave home. Communities normalize insecurity because they have no choice.

At the same time, the Middle East continues to experience wars, destruction, displacement, and loss of innocent lives. Children grow up hearing explosions instead of peace. Entire families are forced to survive in conditions no human being should endure.

Different regions. Different politics. But the same human pain.

What is even more painful is how quickly the world becomes divided depending on religion, nationality, tribe, or political interest.

People defend sides more than they defend humanity.

The truth is: No mother deserves to bury her child because of violence. No child deserves to grow up surrounded by fear. And no society can truly progress where human life keeps losing value.

Maybe one of the biggest questions we should ask ourselves is this:

Why has insecurity become so normal that people now see survival as strength instead of safety as a basic right?

What do you think is the real solution: Better leadership? Stronger security systems? Economic opportunities? Global cooperation? Or have we failed morally as humans?
