Here is the difference nobody talks about:
A belief lives in your mind. It is comfortable, borrowed, and painless to maintain, so long as life never seriously calls it due.

You can believe in generosity without ever being generous when it costs you. You can believe in justice without ever standing for it when it benefits someone you don't like.

Beliefs are the things we say we value.
They are the flattering self-image we carry, the person we intend to be, someday, when the conditions are right.
