And most of us have spent our entire lives confusing the two.
We say we believe in loyalty, until a friend becomes inconvenient.
We say we believe in honesty, until the truth is expensive.
We say we believe in love, until love requires sacrifice instead of feeling.
We say we believe in courage, until the room gets quiet and the stakes get real.
That moment, that moment, is not a test of what you believe.
It is a revelation of what you are.
