Interesting piece. The author deliberately left out the children Gov Orji, Wike, and only northern leaders whose children are bad product.
This is classic tribal and religious influenced writing.
How many are they to influence decision making? Why should the children be paint brushed with the actions or inactions of his father ?
When will Nigerians not invited to the table to chop stop this campaign of exclusion.
Names are brands, and you use it as the citizens see fit. Let people like the author build his brand. No shame in that. We all desire immortality!
In New York you can be a police man if your parents were police faster than and outside. In Nigeria lecturers are replacing themselves, civil servants are replacing themselves and politicians shouldn't? Please!!
Nigeria's problem isn't democracy or lack of it, but many saboteurs who kill the country and expect miracles of development! How?!
Let me use insecurity as an example,
The Emir of Bauchi has secured his domain many times. People forget that boko haram was in bauchi in 2009 and Gov. Yuguda kicked then out , they returned again and Gov Bala was merciless and they left.
They returned few weeks ago, to Yankari forest and they have been kicked out. That is a leader and his title of Sarkin Yakin Daula Usmaniya is not a wasted.
What happened to Shehu of Borno, Shehu of Dikwa and Shehu of Bama? All couldn't contained their subjects and simply ran to Maiduguri. SAS is from Dikwa, Shettima is from Maiduguri.
Let's go to Sokoto and Kebbi states, the Sultan is a retired General and his uncle Emir of Gwandu is also a retired General, but look at how the lakurawa, and Fulani terrorists have revage their Emirates.
Then look at Yauri, Zuru and Kontagora Emirates also revage. But the General who is the Etsu Nupe and the other Emirs in kinnupe [ Emirs of Agaie, Lapai] have made their land safe.
Now let us go to Kwara State, where is the retired Court of Appeal Justice?nothing the mamudawa have taken over his Emirate.
Only Emir of Lafiagi fought back the terrorists ,all the other Rawani carrying chiefs have failed. The same for Borgu; where Tinubu got his title of Jagaban from taken over by terrorists! Tir!!
However, Shonga and Tsaragi are safe in kwara state.
Is it that those Emirs don't care about their people or have capitulated?
Emir of Birnin Gwari broker a deal with terrorists, it is holding, but that of Katsina, Funtua, Gusau, Kauran Namoda, Bakura and many created by politicians and the military couldn't. Some were found involved and were removed. Still it has not abated.
Thus our problem is not my friend's child becoming an MD, or the other son becoming a marketer, of the lecturers here on this platform getting jobs for their children in the universities, but lack of vision and patriotism. For the country
The press; whi are to set agenda of discussion, think they are fighting the politicians as the fought the colonilist and the military out of power. Where would the politicians go to? The press are tribal, bigots and unprofessional in their news anchorage that today US thinks the terrorists are fighting a jihad. Though their report of a think tank yesterday has soften its stand of the two cattle breeding associations and remove them from terrorist sponsors after they showed those buffoon that they are more victims than the " Christian " farmers of the middle belt.
I have confidence that Nigeria will be great one day, probably not in my lifetime, but it will happen, either as it is today or a confederacy or divided, certainly not as it is constituted today: which elites who think of "self" and never "we," where injustice is the face of its leadership and followership.
The poor are complicit as are the scholars, clergy, elite, and every profession.
