Let me tell you what Peter Obi did that nobody is giving him enough credit for.

Peter Obi left ADC in May and said the same forces that destroyed Labour Party from within were finding their way in.

The ADC publicity secretary responded by calling it the only party conducting a real primary election in Nigeria.

Today the results of that real primary election are out. Atiku won with a commanding majority. Amaechi called the results concocted and fraudulent. Hayatu-Deen boycotted the announcement entirely, saying he observed widespread rigging himself and would not attend. 

Two of the three aspirants in the same primary are rejecting the same result on the same day.

The ADC publicity secretary said before the results that none of the three aspirants could confidently say they would fly the ADC ticket.  He was speaking about the party he was defending as the most credible democratic exercise in Nigeria.

Hayatu-Deen said certain political actors attempted to pressure him into stepping down for another aspirant before the primary even concluded.  Amaechi said he would only accept the outcome if the process was free, fair and transparent, then declared it was neither. 

This is the coalition that was supposed to defeat Tinubu in 2027. The party that called itself the most credible democratic exercise in Nigeria is now managing its third internal crisis in three months.

Peter Obi did not run from ADC. He studied it, named what he saw, and graduated before the exam became a scandal.

The results are in and his prediction was the most accurate political analysis of 2026.
