Your Excellencies President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr. Peter Obi, Leaders of Opposition Parties, and Independent Political Actors, 240 million Nigerians write to you from the perspective of millions of Nigerians who are exhausted, heartbroken, and deeply concerned about the continuous killings across our nation. These killings have affected both Muslims and Christians, across ethnic, regional, and political lines, and they have persisted since 1999 without meaningful resolution.

For too long, Nigerians have watched leaders trade blame while innocent lives are lost. The truth is simple: we are Nigerians — fathers, mothers, children — and their blood does not know party, religion, or tribe.

Respectfully Mr. Peter Obi, 240 million Nigerians have repeatedly noted that you do not need to be President to work with the 36 state governors and the 774 Local Government Areas to address the root causes of insecurity, including boko haram, banditry, and communal violence. If you are truly serious about building a safer nation, collaboration is possible regardless of political office. Leadership is not only a title; it is action. lf you cannot stop the killings in 2026 you will never stop it in 2027 respectfully no disrespect sirs

Respectfully to all political leaders — ruling party, opposition, and independents — the country is watching and the global world as well for decades. Over 240 million Nigerians, including millions of children, want to see evidence that their leaders value Nigerian lives above political rivalry.

The recent U.S.–Nigeria health partnership, which includes support for Christian faith-based healthcare providers despite Nigeria’s religious diversity, shows that international partners are willing to invest in our wellbeing. As U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills Jr. stated, the MOU reflects a long-standing partnership intended to deliver lasting and sustainable impact. Nigerians expect the same level of commitment from their own leaders.

This is a plea for unity, responsibility, and genuine action. Work together. Address the root causes. Show Nigerians that their lives matter.

History will remember what you choose to do next.
