The lingering insecurity in our dear nation, Nigeria, is deeply concerning. Considering the way the federal government is handling the situation, I sincerely hope Nigeria does not end up becoming like Afghanistan with the Taliban, Lebanon with Hezbollah, Yemen with the Houthis, or Palestine with Hamas.

This is often how such groups gradually gain influence — when they are not decisively addressed early enough, they grow stronger and eventually begin to challenge or overshadow governmental authority.
