Failed Reforms in Nigeria`s Power Sector
Nigeria’s power‑sector reforms failed because the Nigerian government past and present did not meet the specific conditions required under the World Bank–supported Power Sector Recovery Program (PSRP).
These are the reforms Nigerian government present and next government must implement if they are serious no lies/no slogans — but did not — leading to the cancellation of the World Bank loan.
Nigerian government failed to meet the World Bank’s reform conditions in eight major areas:

Tariff reforms

Revenue collection & metering

Gas supply

Transmission upgrades

Distribution efficiency

Regulatory independence

Transparency & reporting

Governance & anti‑corruption must be drained now courts efcc over to you respectfully

Because these reforms stalled or failed for decades, the World Bank concluded the program could not succeed — and Nigeria agreed to cancel the remaining funds.
