Your Excellencies Esteemed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga,240 million Nigerians are writing as a concerned Nigerian who believes deeply in the unity, safety, and progress of our country. We want to respectfully express our thoughts regarding the recent controversy surrounding the fake or AI‑generated audio allegedly mimicking the President’s voice.

While we do not support the spread of false information about any Nigerian, we believe that arresting Nigerians over AI‑generated audio is a misplaced priority at a time when our nation faces far more urgent and life‑threatening challenges. The global community is watching Nigeria, and many are asking why we are focusing on online audio clips while boko haram and other violent groups have been killing Nigerians since 1999.

Sir, Nigerians are desperate for real solutions. We need security so farmers can return to their farms. We need stable free electricity, free data, safe schools for our children, and jobs for over 240 million youths and graduates. These are the issues that will reduce crime and restore hope in Nigerian now 5/27/2026

Regarding VDM, we respectfully suggest issuing a warning and asking him to take down any misleading content. He is a Nigerian like the rest of us, and many Nigerians relate to the frustrations he expresses. This does not excuse misinformation, but it does show the need for dialogue rather than criminalization of 240 million Nigerians

With all due respect sirs, we urge the Presidency to focus national resources on ending terrorism, addressing the root causes of insecurity, and investing in agriculture, education, housing, and healthcare. These are the priorities that will truly move Nigeria forward now 5/27/2026
