I urge the Federal Government to prioritize the protection of schools and children across Nigeria. The safety of our children must never be taken lightly because they are the future of this nation.

Schools should remain places of learning, growth, peace, and hope — not places of fear, insecurity, or danger. The increasing concerns about insecurity around schools, kidnappings, violence, and attacks on innocent students are alarming and require urgent attention.

The government must strengthen security around schools by:

* Deploying adequate security personnel
* Improving surveillance and intelligence gathering
* Supporting community security efforts
* Providing safe learning environments
* Responding swiftly to security threats

Parents should not have to live in fear whenever their children go to school.

Protecting children is not just a government responsibility alone; it is a collective responsibility for leaders, communities, security agencies, and every citizen. However, the Federal Government must take the lead by making school safety a national priority.

A nation that fails to protect its children risks destroying its own future.
